Misa Digital Guitar has “Got No Strings”

digital_guitar Some of you who like the opening song by Bryan Adams Remember hit “Summer of '69″. It goes: “I had my first real six strings, which brought the Five and Dime. Played 'til my fingers Bled, it was the summer of '69.

When Bryan Adams had served in the summer of 2069, so I doubt if the fingers were bleeding after playing the guitar. Why do I say this? Then I saw the future of the guitar, and it is without strings.

If you do not believe me, then check the video after the jump. You will notice that this guy is based on the Linux-powered crushing Digital Guitar Misa, and there are no strings, just a light-up touch-screen.

Besides the touch screen, Digital Guitar Misa has over 24 years, which are very versatile. Incidentally, it is possible to use this guitar with the PC user interface.

Obviously, the Misa Digital Guitar is a product of Guitar Hero / Rockband generation. It is for those who are willing to learn the discipline, to accept to play a real instrument, but really want to get out of the box when it what can the traditional tools can not.

Thus, a guitar without strings? What's next, a piano that does not have the keys? I suppose you could do as well with a large touch screen that replaces the traditional 88 keys.

(Just a side note, Bryan Adams was born in 1959. In the summer of '69, he had ten years. And yet the song “Summer of '69 is” seems to imply that he teenagers during this period.)
