Heli-Voice: Voice Nikko Helicopters
While I was at CES I had the opportunity to verify Interactive Toy Concepts SkeetShooter its fleet of helicopters and discovered a new toy. They had one that could be controlled with a joystick motion detection, but we still have a voice like a latter Nikko.
This Nikko radio controlled helicopter can be controlled with the traditional dual stick remote control, but the Voice Command function knows how to respond to certain voice commands like “start engine”, “higher”, “low”, “Hold” and “stop” .
Incidentally, it also comes with a sensor that knows where the ceiling is, and will not be higher. It's quite a relief, because I am sure that many a toy helicopter bitten the dust by a glass (or taken any other kind of) ceiling.
I can understand why the Heli-Voice Toy of the Year 2009 has been nominated in the Netherlands. Given that they have won almost the same award last year, I am surprised it has not yet this year.
You can see a demo (sort of) on the site of Nikko. The company does not appear to any kind of price and release date for this guy who is really a shame. It is certainly a toy, I want to fly around my house.
